Brandon Bears Super Midgets Are Super Bowl Champs
GO BEARS !!!!!!
The Tampa Bay Bucs aren’t the only local team with a claim to
Super Bowl fame. The Brandon Bears Super Midgets took that title themselves
Nov. 19 in
Plant City against the Temple
Terrace Jaguars at the West Coast Youth Football Conference Super Bowl
game. Assistant coach Butch Doane, a Bloomingdale resident, said the Bears
went 9 – 1 this season. This was a monumental win for the Brandon Bears
organization, as no Super Midget team has ever taken the Super Bowl title,
according to assistant coach and Bears' athletic director Mike Danish. Head
coach Tony Saladino said, "Every player on this team had a hand in this
win."
