2008Registration

The Brandon Bears are located at 5720 Providence Rd., just north of the Bloomingdale Ave./Providence Rd. intersection, on the right-hand side of the street. Registrations are held in the main building at the park.

If you are interested in registering for either football or cheerleading, please e-mail us and let us know.  Otherwise you can come to the Bears practice facility and talk to the registration director.

Cheerleading:  $215.00 for all cheer squads

(This includes practice set, socks, ribbons, shoes, bloomers, crop top etc.. to keep)

ONLY additional fees are competition fees

Football:   $180.00 for all football teams  

(This includes a jersey with name & socks to keep)       

  PLEASE NOTE:

• All children being registered must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

• The child's original birth certificate and a wallet size photo of child is required for registration.

Fees:

• Must be paid in full at the time of registration

• Child can not participate unless fees are paid

• Child will not receive any equipment unless total fees are paid

No Refund Policy:

There is a $50 non-refundable administration fee.  Refunds of the registration fee (not the administration fee) will be given in the following cases:

1. Injury up to and thru the FIRST season game.
2. Relocation of family out of Hillsborough County up to August 1, 2008.

**You must submit in writing the reason for refund within 10 days of the first season game for injury, or within 10 business days of August 1, 2008 (by August 15, 2008).  Any items issued to the child as non-returnable (those the child keeps) will be deducted from the refunded amount. 

All football players and cheerleaders are provided complete game day uniforms, pads and helmets. THIS EQUIPMENT AND/OR UNIFORM ARE THE PROPERTY OF THE BRANDON BEARS AND MUST BE RETURNED AT THE END OF THE SEASON OR UPON LEAVING THE TEAM. IF NOT RETURNED, YOU WILL BE BILLED FOR THE COST OF REPLACEMENT.  Parents will be held financially responsible for any non-practice/non-game related damage, loss or non-return of the equipment/uniforms.

Where your registration fee goes:

Registration fees help to cover the following costs:

• WCYFC League Fees
• Insurance for your child
  • Your private insurance is primary with the league as secondary
• Game Day Football/Cheerleading uniform rental
• Pads/Helmets rental
• Field Maintenance (Game day & Practice)
• Rental of Game day field at Bloomingdale High School
• Miscellaneous operating expenses
• Trophies at the end of the season

    (Child must complete entire season and return all equipment to receive a trophy)

Five Year Jackets: Are only issued to Football Players and Cheerleaders and you must complete 5 entire seasons with the Brandon Bears.

10-Year Rings:  Are only issued to Football Players and Cheerleaders and you must complete 10 entire seasons with the Brandon Bears.

Ages/Weights For Football: (age as of July 31st, 2008)

Flyweight:                    6 to 7 year olds up to 75lbs

Supers:                         8 and 9 year olds up to 95lbs

Midgets:                      10 and 11 year olds up to 115lbs

Jr.Varsity:                  12 and 13 year olds up to 140lbs

Varsity:                       14 and 15 year olds up to 180lbs

Players will be permitted to gain one (1) pound PER GAME during the 2008 season beginning with the first game of the season.

Ages for Cheerleading: (age as of July 31st, 2008)

Mascot:                    5 , 6 and 7 year olds

Supers:                     8 and 9 year olds

Midgets:                 10 and 11 year olds

Jr. Varsity:              12 and 13 year olds

Varsity:                    14 and 15 year olds
