Mission Statement:

The Brandon Bears Youth Football & Cheerleading Organization is committed to providing

a safe and positive environment for our children to learn teamwork and participate in sports.

Goals:

Our goal is to develop and promote the idea of responsibility, hard work, discipline,

sportsmanship and teamwork. The individual growth of our community’s children is

enhanced through the spirit of competition and fair play. These goals will be accomplished by

providing a structured program designed to educate both participants and parents in all aspects

of the sports of football and cheerleading.

 

About Us:

 

The Brandon Bears Youth Football and Cheerleading League, Inc. is a Florida non-profit corporation, registered with the internal revenue service as a 501(c3) non-profit organization.  The Brandon Bears sponsor youth cheerleading and full contact football teams for children ages 5-15. We are a member of the West Coast Youth Football Conference (WCYFC).. All coaches, assistant coaches, team moms/dads and board members are non-paid volunteers.

 

WCYFC

 

West Coast Youth Football Conference is a Florida non-profit organization made up from representatives from each of the 8 participating leagues.  Each team is represented to the conference by 2 board elected Conference Trustees (One for the football program and one for the cheerleading program). 2/08/06 - The WCYFC Board of Football Trustees has made the following changes in the football rules for 2006. 

              They are as follows:
     - Varsity Division game times have been reduced from 12 minutes to 10 minute quarters
     - The Conference will enforce the FHSAA rule that down box and chains MUST be on the side of the field opposite the press box.
     -  Disciplinary rules now mandate a MINIMUM of two (2) game suspension for players/coaches ejected from a game for fighting.
     -  Rules requiring anyone on the sidelines of WCYFC football games MUST have an approved sideline pass or will be removed from the sidelines.
